ID4me proudly presents doMEn – .ME Registry as latest member

After a very inspiring and fruitful ID4me summit in Madrid on September 18th, we are thrilled to announce that .ME Registry has become the latest member. This is very special to the ID4me team, as we share the “me” in associations and protocol name and we are planning some special campaigns to expand outreach together with .ME.

ME domain is the country code top level domain (ccTLD) for Montenegro, globally available for registration without any restrictions. This means that anybody can register a .ME domain with their favorite registrar. Despite being a ccTLD, .ME is very similar to generic TLDs in terms of policies, domain cycle and SEO benefits. .ME is open to the general public as the word “ME” carries meaning in many languages including English, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Portuguese, just to name some. When .ME became generally available in July 2008 the first 100.000 domains were registered within only 48 hours and hit one million domains in 2016.

“Becoming a member of the ID4me Foundation was an obvious step to us, given the strong ties because of the “me” in ID4me, but even more as one of our core values is our corporate social responsibility sharing knowledge is the most efficient way to individual and collective progress.” states Vuksan Rajkovic, Business Development at doMEn, .ME Registry. “ID4me provides the global solution for a digital identity that didn’t exist before.”

The ID4me team led by Chairman Andreas Gauger also welcomes .ME Registry as a new member. “We were very happy with the vibrant discussions and positive feedback during the ID4me Summit. The member commitment of .ME Registry helps strengthen our global strategy and we are confident this will have a positive outreach effect.”

Welcome .ME !
